About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, where I work with Nelly Litvak and Remco van der Hofstad on spatial data-driven models for pandemic preparedness. My research focuses on using mathematical tools and spatial data to better understand and predict how we can prepare for a new pandemic and which data we should collect in such case.

I am particularly interested in spatial networks because many real-world systems, like cellular networks (the topic of my PhD) or disease spread, have a strong spatial component. These spatial components affect many properties of the networks and are therefore very important when we want to capture phenomena in real-world networks. My main research question is: how can we leverage the properties of the geometry of a network to model and understand real-world networks?

On Friday the 17th of January, 2025 at 14:30, I will defend my PhD thesis called "Resilience of cellular networks" at the University of Twente.

Afterwards, there will be a reception in Boerderij Bosch on the University of Twente campus.
